HP unleashed Windows 8 Envy m4 and the Pavilion Sleekbooks

HP, one of the multinational hardware and software corporations announced new consumer PCs and accessories that are designed to work with Windows 8 and it is powered by the latest generation of Intel Core processors that deliver performance and stunning visuals for everyday life.

This sleek Windows 8 laptop features the latest Intel i3 and i5 processors along with up to 8GB of RAM, as much as 1TB of storage and an in-built optical drive. The sleek laptop also features a 14-inch high-definition display and fingerprint reader, which you can use with the HP’s SimplePass technology to log into the PC and as well as websites.

Like the newly launched m6 (15 inch display went on sale this summer), HP has an aluminum design along with Beats Audio and a sub-woofer. The display resolution is fixed at 1,366×768—typical for mid-range laptops. (Note: only one configuration is available in the US, though additional variants will be offered in other countries.) Intel wireless Display is standard, and the battery usage time is up to 8 hours of run-time.

In the meantime, HP also offers two models to its growing line of Sleekbooks. These two models consist of the Pavilion Sleekbook 14 and Pavilion Sleekbook 15, which look like the company’s entry-level G series but are significantly trimmer. For the most part, these two models differ only in their display size: The Pavilion Sleekbook 14 features a 14-inch screen but the Pavilion Sleekbook has a 15.6-inch display. Both include Keyboards with numeric keypads, HDMI outputs and USB 3.0 ports. The laptops, available in black and red, will be offered with Ivy Bridge chips, optional discrete graphics,1080 display. The Sleekbooks also include a nice feature called CoolSense which use onboard sensors to determine when a laptop is actually being used on someone’s lap and it will automatically cool down a bit to make usage more comfortable.

The HP ENVY m4 notebook PC delivers the perfect balance of mobility, performance and entertainment in a thin and light package. The ENVY m4 will start at $900 while the Pavilion Sleekbook 14 and 15 will cost for $500 and $560 respectively. These three laptops will arrive on the 26th October.
