Microsoft Corp has announced that its new tablet, the Microsoft Surface which is now available for purchase at all Microsoft retail, holiday and online stores in the United States and Canada priced at $499 and many other countries around the world. This tablet is running Windows RT.
Microsoft unveiled its Windows RT tablet in June but at that time, the corporation didn’t announce its pricing even though the launching date was fixed on October 25 midnight. Meanwhile Microsoft started distributing invitations for the special Windows 8 event. Nearly in mid-October, Microsoft started their marketing campaign for its new Microsoft Surface with a magnificent Dancing TV advertisement. The showcase of the Ad was that the tablet can be easily connected or separated from the keypad.
This Microsoft Surface tablet is packed with Quad-Core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor with 2GB RAM, 0.6-inch Clear Type HD Display, 1366×768 pixels, and weighs 676 gram. It includes connectivity feature of micro SD, USB 2.0, Micro HD Video, 2×2 MIMO antennae, Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0 technology with battery of 31.5W-h with installed Office Home & Student 2013 RT, Touch Cover, Type Cover. The tablet has VaporMg Case & Stand.
Now, the surface tablet is available with a starting price of $499 online at Microsoft’s store in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States. For China and Hong Kong, the tablet will be available online at Suning retailer. A variety of accessories are also available for purchase, including Touch Covers in five vibrant colors — black, white, magenta, cyan and red priced at US$119.99. Customers also have the option to purchase a Type Cover in black for US$129.99, which adds moving keys for a more traditional typing feel.
With the global availability of Microsoft Windows 8 and Windows RT, customers can buy Microsoft Surface at 27 retail and 34 holiday stores in the U.S. and Canada.
